Dear CHeriScape colleagues and others,
The Department of Geography of Ghent University and IALE-Europe - the European Chapter of the International Association of Landscape Ecology - are organising the next edition of the Europan IALE congress, which will take place in Ghent (Belgium) in September 2017.
Since the topic of the congress as well as the approach of landscape ecology in Europe is about the complex natural and cultural interactions of European landscapes (including their historical developments and heritage perspectives) and puts people and society in the core of landscape, we are convinced that this congress will also be of interest for the participants of the CHeriScape network. Knut Anders Hovstad of the CHeriScape team is organising a symposium titled “Landscape as heritage - searching for the roots to build resilience”, so you might be interested to submit a paper for this symposium. More information on all symposia that will be organised at the conference can be found at the congress website.
Below you find the call for papers, hopefully we can welcome members of the CHeriScape community to present in one of the symposia at the congress.
Do not hesitate to contact us for more information (email@example.com) and feel free to disseminate this among your colleagues.
